These photos were all taken on a Holga 120N. This is a medium format camera, but unlike other medium format cameras, this one is made completely from plastic. It was first created in the 1980s in Hong Kong as an inexpensive camera. It has since been reintroduced, and I found mine on eBay. I wanted the chance to experiment with a lack of control over settings like aperture and focus, and these photos are the result.

The Three Faces of Me
One of the things I love most about the Holga 120N is how effortlessly it allows me to capture multiple exposures. This image, created with three exposures on a single negative, showcases my exploration of self-portraiture. I experimented with framing my face at different points around the edges, resulting in an eerie yet ethereal sense of movement, with my face anchoring the composition at its center.

Games
I’ve always enjoyed experimenting with developing film at home, and when combined with the unpredictability of multiple exposures and limited control over focus, this image becomes more than just a photo of board games—it feels like a game in itself.
